About The Position
The Seasonal Beauty Advisor provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying their needs, completing cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and performing other assigned work. The role supports store leadership by contributing to sales and in-store events, delivering guest service, and following operating procedures and compliance standards. It calls for a passion for beauty, strong guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The position includes engaging guests, answering questions and recommending products or services; handling sales, refunds, exchanges, and online orders; performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations; and supporting appointments and store events. Advisors also help meet sales and loyalty goals, maintain merchandise and store standards, participate in training and operational tasks, and follow company policies and loss-prevention practices. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work involves continuous mobility and object handling, frequent standing and other movements, and lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds. The listed pay range is $12.50–$16.50 per hour, with exact pay based on factors including education, qualifications, experience, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime as required by law. Requirements
- Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling.
- Proficiency with basic technology, such as a point-of-sale system and Apple devices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omnichannel sales, and retail shrink.
- Greet and engage guests, personalize service, answer questions, explain promotions, and recommend complementary products and services.
- Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and online orders courteously.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
- Book appointments and support services and in-store events.
- Stay informed about products and services and their ingredients and benefits.
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
- Support an inclusive environment and share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
- Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business and participate in ongoing training.
- Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
- Keep assigned work areas replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
- Maintain store cleanliness and standards across the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
- Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing or unloading using company technology and practices.
- Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
- Complete other operational tasks and assigned duties.
