About The Position

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying their individual needs, handling cashier tasks, keeping merchandise fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The role supports store leadership by contributing to sales and in-store events, delivering guest service, and following operating procedures and compliance standards. It requires a passion for beauty, strong guest-service skills, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The Beauty Advisor engages guests, recommends products and services, assists with purchases and online orders, performs makeup applications and skincare analyses, supports appointments and events, and helps meet store sales and loyalty goals. The position also involves maintaining merchandise displays and store standards, assisting with inventory and shipments, participating in training, and protecting company assets.

Requirements

Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling.
Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to meet the physical demands of continuous store mobility and frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, lifting, carrying, moving, and object manipulation.

One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, identify their needs, answer questions, communicate promotions, and recommend complementary products or services.
Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and online-order assistance courteously.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations.
Book appointments and support services and in-store events.
Stay informed about products and services and learn their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Contribute to an inclusive environment and collaborate with store managers and associates.
Explain the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
Keep the assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
Maintain cleanliness and store standards in the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing and unloading.
Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
