About The Position

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying individual needs, conducting cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The role supports the leadership team by contributing to performance goals, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures. It calls for a passion for beauty, strong guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The advisor engages guests, answers questions about products and services, shares promotions, and recommends complementary offerings. Duties also include handling sales and transactions, assisting with online orders, performing makeup applications and skincare analysis, demonstrating products, booking appointments, and supporting in-store events. Advisors maintain product knowledge, participate in training, and work with store colleagues to support business goals. The role also involves maintaining and replenishing the assigned work area, keeping testers available, maintaining store cleanliness, completing resets and displays, participating in inventory and shipment processing, and following company policies and loss-prevention practices. The schedule is flexible and includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work involves frequent movement and physical activity throughout the store, including lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling.
Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform work involving continuous mobility and coordination, frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting, and lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.
One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize service, answer product and service questions, communicate promotions, and recommend products or services.
Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and online-order assistance courteously.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Book appointments and support services and in-store events.
Stay informed about new and existing products and services and their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Support an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Share information about the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
Replenish, sign, and face the assigned work area and ensure testers are available.
Maintain store cleanliness and standards across the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing and advertising displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing and unloading.
Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
