About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and provide engaging customer experiences that build loyalty to the store, brands, and company. You work as part of a team, stay informed about trends, and share product knowledge with customers to help them find shoes that meet their needs and fit well.

You support daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to sales goals, communicate clearly with the team, follow company policies and procedures, and seek feedback to support your development. You help foster an inclusive and positive work environment and assist with teammate training and development when needed.

This is a seasonal position. Overtime may be required to meet business needs. The role requires a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours, as well as the ability to perform the physical demands of working on a retail sales floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory management.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop according to company standards.
• Engage customers and provide attentive service, product recommendations, and assistance finding suitable styles and fit.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals with purpose and urgency.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to support shared understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures and seek feedback to improve skills and professional development.
• Help maintain an inclusive, respectful, positive, and supportive work environment.
• Assist with training and development of teammates when needed.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to meet business needs.
