About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and provide engaging customer experiences. You stay informed about trends, share product knowledge, and help customers find styles and brands that meet their needs and fit comfortably. You contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture and celebrate individual and team successes.

You support daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while helping keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You follow company standards and policies, contribute to sales goals, communicate effectively with teammates, and seek feedback to develop your skills. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Help keep the store clean, organized, and styles easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
• Engage customers and deliver attentive, high-quality shopping experiences.
• Stay informed about trends and recommend shoes and styles to meet customers’ needs.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals with purpose and urgency.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team, and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures and seek feedback to improve skills and professional development.
• Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, positive, and respectful work environment; support teammates and assist with training and development when needed.
• Meet additional business needs as required; overtime may be required.
