About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you provide an engaging shoe-store experience by welcoming customers, sharing product and trend knowledge, and helping them find shoes that meet their needs. You contribute to a positive, inclusive store culture and support team and individual success.

You help keep store operations running smoothly by handling tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while maintaining a clean, organized, easy-to-shop store. You deliver attentive customer service, support sales goals, communicate effectively with teammates, follow company policies, seek feedback, and assist with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Help keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop.
• Engage customers and provide attentive service, including recommending shoes and helping customers find the right fit.
• Stay informed about trends and share relevant knowledge with customers.
• Support store sales goals by reviewing performance and bringing effort and urgency to sales activities.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and pursue professional development.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful, positive work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development when needed.
• Work overtime when required to meet business needs.
