About The Position
East Coast Aircraft is a leading aircraft upholstery company providing high-quality interior solutions for private and commercial aircraft. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Seamstress Upholster to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and repairing upholstery for aircraft interiors. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of precision and attention to detail. Training will be provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in upholstery, preferably in aircraft interiors
- Proficient in using sewing machines and other upholstery tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and specifications
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and safety protocols is an asset
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and sew fabric and leather to create custom upholstery pieces for aircraft seats, headliners, and other interior components
- Repair and replace damaged or worn upholstery on existing aircraft interiors
- Work closely with the design team to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their expectations
