About The Position
Salt & Straw is hiring Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help the shop run smoothly. Scoopers guide guests through flavors, share ingredient stories, offer samples, and build meaningful connections through welcoming, thoughtful service. The role includes scooping ice cream, making waffle cones, operating the register, preparing products to recipes and quality standards, and supporting online and delivery orders. Team members also restock products and supplies, maintain food safety and cleanliness standards, and assist with dishwashing and other operational tasks. The position is part-time at the Marin Country Mart shop in Larkspur, California, and requires availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts. The role involves working where common food allergens are present, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood. Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Be able to work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts.
- Enjoy working with people and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
- Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
- Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
- Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
- Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
- Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across the shop.
- Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
