About The Position

First Student is hiring part-time School Van Drivers in Rantoul, Illinois. Drivers transport students safely, picking them up before school and bringing them home after school. The schedule is a split shift with a few free hours between the morning and afternoon shifts. Shifts are guaranteed, and there is no requirement to work nights or weekends. Additional hours may be available through trips and charters. No previous van-driving experience is required; paid training is provided. The role requires English proficiency for training, safety communications, company policies, employment documents, and other job-related communications. The position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive role. Compensation starts at $19.00 per hour, based on school van driver experience. Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits are offered, though benefits may vary by location or collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• English proficiency.
• Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee.
