About The Position

First Student is hiring part-time School Van Drivers in Rantoul, Illinois. Drivers transport students safely between home and school, providing before-school pickups and afternoon drop-offs. The position uses a split shift, with a few free hours between the morning and afternoon routes. Drivers receive paid training and may have the opportunity to earn additional hours through trips and charters when available. The role requires English proficiency and is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Have English proficiency for required training, safety communications, company policies, employment documents, and other job-related communications.
• Submit to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee.

Responsibilities

• Pick up students before school and transport them safely.
• Drop students off at home after school.
• Complete required training and follow safety communications, company policies, and applicable DOT requirements.
