About The Position

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a School Psychologist to provide school-based services that support children’s social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The role includes counseling students and parents, contributing to a multi-tiered system of support, and participating in interdisciplinary discussions about student diagnosis and treatment. The School Psychologist also supports IEP development, collaborates with families and staff, and maintains compliance with applicable procedures and timelines. This is a full-time, on-site position. PDS serves public school districts, charter schools, and communities with pediatric therapy professionals.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Psychology.
Has obtained or is eligible for a School Psychologist endorsement as prescribed by the State Department of Education.
Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
Interpersonal skills and effective, courteous verbal and written communication.
Ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.

Nice To Haves

Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health.

Responsibilities

Provide counseling services to students and their parents.
Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including interdisciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss student diagnosis and treatment.
Participate in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
Collaborate with and coach families and staff during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings to support students’ social and emotional development.
Follow federal, state, and local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines, and procedural safeguards.
Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with required meetings and services.
