About The Position

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a School Psychologist to support children and communities. The role provides counseling to students and parents, supports students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, and contributes to individualized education program (IEP) development. The School Psychologist collaborates with families, school staff, and other professionals and maintains documentation and schedules in accordance with applicable procedures and timelines. PDS provides pediatric therapists, including school psychologists, to public school districts, charter schools, and communities.

Requirements

Master's degree in Psychology.
Has obtained or is eligible for an endorsement as a School Psychologist as prescribed in the bylaws of the State Department of Education.
Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and effective, courteous verbal and written communication.
Ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.

Nice To Haves

Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health.

Responsibilities

Provide counseling services to students and their parents.
Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss student diagnosis and treatment.
Participate in initial IEP and annual IEP development as appropriate.
Collaborate with and coach families and staff during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings to support social and emotional development.
Follow federal, state, and local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines, and procedural safeguards.
Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with required meetings and services.
