About The Position

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a School Psychologist to provide school-based services and support the social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. The role includes counseling students and parents, contributing to student support and IEP processes, and collaborating with families and school staff. The position requires a master's degree in psychology and a School Psychologist endorsement, or eligibility for one, as prescribed by the State Department of Education. Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health is preferred.

Requirements

Master's degree in psychology.
School Psychologist endorsement, or eligibility for an endorsement, as prescribed by the State Department of Education.
Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
Interpersonal skills and effective, courteous verbal and written communication.
Ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.

Responsibilities

Provide counseling services to students and their parents.
Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including interdisciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss student diagnosis and treatment.
Participate in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
Collaborate with and coach families and staff during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings to support social and emotional development.
Follow federal, state, and local procedures for recordkeeping, eligibility documentation, timelines, and procedural safeguards.
Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with required meetings and services.
