About The Position

BAYADA is recruiting a compassionate registered nurse to provide private-duty nursing care to school-aged pediatric clients (ages 3 and older) in the greater Erie County area for the 2026–2027 school year. Nurses work one-on-one with children in the comfort of their homes, building ongoing relationships and helping keep clients safe. The role is part of BAYADA’s Skilled Nursing Unit and offers clinical autonomy alongside a close-knit care team with 24/7 clinical support. Full-time and part-time availability is mentioned for school-aged cases; other shift arrangements are also offered by the organization.

The position may involve a variety of pediatric diagnoses and, for nurses who choose, complex care such as tracheostomy and ventilator management. BAYADA provides training for nurses without home health experience or experience working with children. Requirements

• Hold an active and current license to practice as a professional nurse (RN).
• Be able to travel to cases as assigned.

• Provide care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous home health care experience is welcomed but not required.
• Experience working with children is not required; BAYADA offers training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to pediatric clients from birth through age 18 with a variety of diagnoses.
• Provide complex care, including tracheostomy and ventilator management, if desired.
• Educate families.
• Perform clinical assessments.
• Provide nursing care according to the care plan.
• Administer medication, treatment, and therapy.
• Travel to assigned cases.
