About The Position

Big Blue Marble Academy is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated, detail-oriented School Director to lead a licensed childcare center and support the academy’s mission of providing a global education for children of all ages. The role oversees staff, curriculum implementation, center safety and licensing compliance, family communication, enrollment, marketing, and administrative and financial processes. The Director is expected to use various software systems in daily work and maintain required enrollment ratios.

Requirements

Must be local to Texas.
Three to five years of proven management work experience in a licensed childcare facility.
Pass all background checks and meet state requirements.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite.
Experience with financial and administrative processes and systems.
Excellent knowledge of early childhood development.
Patience, flexibility, and a love for children.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work as a team player and support the organization’s mission and branding.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, or another related credential.

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, and train high-quality teachers and staff.
Ensure the global education curriculum, branding, and age-appropriate learning are used.
Follow teaching standards and safety regulations established by the state and corporate office.
Create marketing plans and promote the program through community outreach, special events, tours, and enrollment activities.
Meet with parents, staff, and leadership to communicate student goals and provide customer service.
Communicate regularly with parents about children’s progress and company and center activities.
Handle administrative duties, including accounting and budgeting, as assigned.
Maximize enrollment while maintaining required staff-to-child ratios.
Generate reports for licensing, operations, and marketing.
Use various software systems in daily work.
Meet all licensing, training, and safety requirements.
