Child Care Director
About The Position
The Child Care Site Director oversees daily center operations and helps create a welcoming, joyful environment for children, families, and staff. Responsibilities include managing enrollment and marketing, supervising classroom teachers, and ensuring compliance with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services licensing regulations and Step-Up to Quality standards. The director also manages billing and snack and meal service, communicates with children, parents, YMCA personnel, and center guests, and collaborates with other center directors to improve programs. This is a full-time, onsite position with a split shift, Monday through Friday from 6:00–10:00 a.m. and 2:00–6:00 p.m. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Education or a related field, or an associate degree with four years of relevant experience.
- Two years of experience as a child care director or head teacher for applicants with a bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in Ohio Department of Job and Family Services child care licensing regulations and Step-Up to Quality standards.
- Strong leadership and supervision skills.
- Passion for working with children.
