About The Position

The School Age Child Care Site Director supports a before- and/or after-school daycare program in Flemington, New Jersey, for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is part-time and hourly, with weekday schedules of 7:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and/or 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., at $23.00–$25.00 per hour. The YMCA is seeking someone passionate about helping children learn, connecting with the community, and creating a fun, diverse environment. The director will help with daily program functions and engage children in learning, while working with and supporting families and the program team.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have at least two years of experience working with children.
• Have a high school diploma or some college credits.
• Have at least two years of leadership or supervisory experience in a child care setting.
• Be passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
• Be able to pass all relevant clearances.

Responsibilities

• Find new and engaging ways to help children learn.
• Be patient and kind with parents.
• Assist with the day-to-day functions of a before- or after-school daycare program.
