About The Position

The School Age Child Care Assistant supports a before- or after-school daycare program for the 2026–2027 school year in Flemington, New Jersey. This part-time, hourly role works Monday through Friday, either 7:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and/or 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. The assistant helps children learn and participate in activities, supports snack and homework time, and assists the site director with daily program functions. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have at least 2 years of experience working with children.
• Have a high school diploma or some college credits.
• Have at least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a child care setting.
• Be passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
• Be able to pass all relevant clearances.

Responsibilities

• Find new and engaging ways to help children learn.
• Be patient and kind with parents.
• Assist the site director with day-to-day functions of the before- or after-school daycare program.
• Help children with activities, snack time, homework, and related tasks.
