School Age Child Care Assistant
About The Position
The School Age Child Care Assistant supports the before- or after-school daycare program by helping children learn and participate in activities, snack time, and homework. The role assists the site director with day-to-day program functions and involves working patiently and kindly with parents. The YMCA seeks an experienced professional who enjoys bringing out the best in children, connecting with the community, and working in a fun, diverse environment. This is a part-time position in Northampton, Pennsylvania, with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pay is $15.50–$17.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children.
- High school diploma or some college credits.
- At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a child care setting.
- Passion for working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
- Ability to pass all relevant clearances.
