About The Position

Bundle of Joy Child Development Centers, part of Cadence Education, is hiring a Preschool Bus Driver in Dallas, Texas. The driver safely transports preschoolers to and from school and creates a positive, character-building atmosphere during each trip. The role includes inspecting and maintaining the bus, monitoring and documenting children’s behavior, ensuring children are released to authorized representatives, and keeping licenses, certifications, and records current. The driver may also assist in teacher or assistant duties and attends training, staff meetings, and parent events.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years old.
Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement.
Meet all state preschool and bus driver requirements.
Qualify under Cadence Education’s insurance underwriting standards.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Safely transport preschoolers to and from school.
Create a joyful, character-building bus environment using appropriate music and positive language.
Inspect the bus daily to ensure it meets state licensing and DMV safety standards.
Monitor children’s behavior, document concerns, and communicate them to the director.
Ensure children are safely handed over to authorized representatives at drop-off.
Maintain a clean, fueled bus and a professional appearance consistent with the dress code.
Follow state rules and regulations for bus and child safety.
Keep CDL, certifications, paperwork, and other compliance records current.
Attend in-service training, staff meetings, and parent events.
Step into teacher or assistant duties when needed.
