About The Position

STA is hiring a School Bus Driver in Kingston, New York. The driver safely transports students to and from school along set routes, follows school bus and bus stop safety standards, and performs daily vehicle inspections. A dedicated local management team and paid training are provided. No prior school bus driving experience is required. The role is part-time, generally 20–25 hours per week, with opportunities for extra hours and a flexible work schedule. Driver pay is $25.75–$30.90 per hour, based on experience and license; trainees earn $19.10 per hour while training. Fully licensed CDL A/B drivers with S and P endorsements may qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and driver trainees may qualify for a $2,500 bonus. Both bonuses are paid in increments and are offered from September 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026. The position offers growth and advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• Have held a valid driver's license for at least one year; accepted license classes listed are A, B, C, D, or E.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have good verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work with people in a positive manner.
• Submit to a background check, drug screen, and physical.
