School Bus Driver - SIGN ON BONUS
About The Position
Foreman Sales & Service is seeking dependable School Bus Drivers to provide safe student transportation for the Montrose School District in Montrose, South Dakota, during the 2026–2027 school year. The part-time role involves driving established school routes Monday through Friday and helping create a positive experience for students traveling to and from school. Additional driving opportunities for school activities may become available throughout the year. Training opportunities are offered to qualified candidates interested in becoming professional school bus drivers. Compensation is $130 per day. A sign-on bonus is available, and CDL training assistance is available for qualified applicants.
Requirements
- Valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, or willingness to obtain them.
- Safe driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, background screening, and required drug testing.
- Strong reliability and punctuality.
- Commitment to student safety and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes.
- Transport students to and from school while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly bus, including regular cleaning.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow DOT regulations and school transportation policies.
- Promptly report maintenance concerns or safety issues.
- Communicate professionally with school personnel, parents, and students.
