About The Position

Summit School Services is hiring School Bus Drivers to transport students on local routes. No prior commercial driving experience or CDL is required to start; paid training helps drivers obtain their CDL. The role offers guaranteed hours of four hours per day, a flexible part-time split schedule covering morning and afternoon routes, and no nights or weekends. Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; a CDL is not required to start.
• Must have held a driver’s license for at least three years, or five years when applying in Tennessee or Washington.
• Minimum age of 21, or 25 in Tennessee.
• If the applicant held a DOT-regulated driving role in the past three years, that employment must be verifiable under DOT guidelines.
• Pass a DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Comply with DOT regulations; marijuana use is prohibited, including medical use.
• Reliable attendance and a safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes.
• Transport students to and from school, sports, and events.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe bus environment.
• Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff.
• Follow federal, state, local, and company safety rules.
