About The Position

Summit School Services is hiring School Bus Drivers to transport students on local routes. No commercial driver's license or prior experience is required to start; the company provides paid CDL training and helps drivers obtain their initial CDL permit. Drivers receive a split-hour schedule, typically in the morning and afternoon, and are guaranteed five hours per day. The role offers a part-time schedule, with a seasonal employment option that allows summers off. The posting lists starting pay of $21.00 per hour and training pay of $19.00 per hour. Hiring bonuses may be available for eligible drivers, and additional routes and field trips may provide extra hours. Pay and other employment terms vary by location and position. Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no CDL is needed to start.
Must have held a driver's license for at least 3 years, or 5 years when applying in Tennessee or Washington.
Minimum age of 21, or 25 in Tennessee.
If employed in a DOT-regulated driving role in the past 3 years, that employment must be verifiable under DOT guidelines.
Pass a DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
Comply with DOT regulations; marijuana use is prohibited, including medical use.
Reliable attendance and a safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes.
Transport students to and from school, sports, and events.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
