About The Position

Charm City Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated School-Based Physical Therapist to provide student-centered care in an educational setting in Baltimore, Maryland. The role is available as either a part-time or full-time opportunity. The therapist will help students reach their physical potential through direct services, individualized treatment planning, collaboration with school teams and families, and support for student IEP goals.

Requirements

Valid Maryland Physical Therapist (PT) license or ability to obtain licensure.
Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Compassionate, patient, and student-focused approach to care.

Nice To Haves

Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy.
CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide direct physical therapy services to students in a school-based setting.
Evaluate and assess students’ physical needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student IEP goals.
Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records in compliance with school and state requirements.
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed.
Provide consultation and training to school staff on physical therapy strategies and student needs.
