School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a full-time School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Lakewood, Washington. This role provides direct medical support to a student during the school day, including monitoring, medication administration, documentation, and coordination with school staff and healthcare providers. The position is W-2 and offers year-round benefits. The LPN collaborates with school staff and families regarding students’ health and wellness, participates in the IEP process, provides nursing services according to prescribed IEP services and current best practices, and maintains documentation required by the district. Requirements
- Hold a current license to practice in the state of residence or state of placement.
- Have successful experience working with culturally diverse families.
- Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
- Have tracheostomy and ventilator care experience.
- Have current CPR/BLS.
Responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students’ health and wellness.
- Participate in the IEP process by developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for nursing services.
- Provide nursing services using current best practices and according to services prescribed in the IEP.
- Maintain documentation required by the district, including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs.
