About The Position
Merakey is seeking a full-time School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a school in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The School Nurse provides high-quality, compassionate health care to students in a school setting and works under the direct supervision of the School Program Director. The role ensures that health-related policies and procedures are implemented effectively and safely while helping foster a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and cared for. Compensation is up to $25 per hour, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Texas.
- One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols.
- Ensure proper storage, documentation, and safety of medications and medical supplies.
- Follow standard precautions and infection control guidelines to promote a safe and healthy environment.
- Manage incidents and critical events through timely reporting and appropriate follow-up.
- Respond promptly and sensitively to students’ health needs, providing calm, compassionate care in routine and urgent situations.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and external healthcare providers to support each child’s physical and emotional well-being.
- Implement school health-related policies and procedures effectively and safely.
