About The Position
This part-time, after-school position is based at Mettawee Community School, a public elementary school in West Pawlet, Vermont. The program follows the school calendar, with a commitment for the 2026–2027 school year. The schedule is 2:25 to 5:30 PM on school days, and pay is $16.00 to $17.50 per hour, paid every other Friday. The assistant helps create a fun, welcoming after-school environment for school-age children, supports children in building friendships through games and activities, and serves as a positive influence during their afternoons.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with school-age children.
- Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be comfortable working in a structured school setting.

- Experience working with children is helpful but not required.
