About The Position

The Scheduling Coordinator assists the Director of Nursing (DON) with planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing schedules for all nursing service department employees. The coordinator schedules nursing employees in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the health center while meeting customer service needs. The role also provides direct patient care as needed as a CNA.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a current, valid state CNA certification.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create the campus’ four-week master schedule and post it in accordance with the Campus Hourly Scheduling policy.
• Make staffing adjustments as needed based on budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-offs, and planned leave.
• Manage, support, and coordinate employees’ PTO requests, holiday rotations, and shift trades.
• Generate required postings, including BIPA, daily assignment sheets, and monthly schedules.
• Manage nursing hours (PPD) and maintain proper staff ratios to census.
• Manage time and attendance, including attendance points, buy-backs, and shift pick-up incentives.
• Use Smartlinx functionality to post and fill open shifts and message employees.
• Meet with each new employee to review their schedule, ask about their needs, and support a smooth onboarding experience.
• Provide direct patient care as needed as a CNA.
