About The Position

Scoular is seeking a motivated Scale Operator to support its mission of creating safe and reliable supply chain solutions for customers. This is a seasonal position lasting through the harvest cycle in mid-September, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time. The role is in a team-oriented, fast-paced workplace. On-the-job training is provided.

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, subzero cold, and high winds.
• Ability to remain standing on hard surfaces for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in an environment with high levels of grain dust.
• Ability to bend and reach within a normal range of movement.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh, and test grain delivered to the facility while providing customer service to producers and drivers.
• Weigh trucks entering and leaving the facility and direct them to the proper loading or unloading locations.
• Communicate with the production crew to support timely truck unloading.
• Probe inbound trucks to collect commodity samples and enter customer and commodity information into the tracking system.
• Keep the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
• Greet customers and visitors in person and by telephone, and direct them to the appropriate individual when necessary.
• Perform other duties as needed to support operations.
