Saw Setup Operator (4th Shift)

About The Position

Set up and operate saws for customer orders according to print specifications, shop orders, and inspection charts. The role supports timely production while complying with current ISO requirements, safety requirements, and good housekeeping standards. The operator may work at any workstation as production needs require, inspect and rework product, complete operational documentation, maintain a clean workstation, and train new employees when asked.

Requirements

Good communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Experience working with consolidations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Good judgment and decision-making skills.
Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Attention to detail.
Organization and the ability and drive to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate saws to meet print specifications, shop orders, and inspection charts.
Maintain production standards.
Work at any workstation as needed to meet production requirements.
Inspect products for continued conformance to specifications using calipers, a tape measure, and squares.
Rework nonconforming products when required.
Complete documentation associated with the operation.
Keep the workstation clean and orderly.
Train new employees assigned to the area when required.
Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
Comply with current ISO requirements and safety requirements.
