About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Saw Operator to operate machinery and ensure product quality while assisting with warehouse operations as needed. The role is fully on-site in Texas City, Texas. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, paid weekly. The schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional Saturday hours as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to communicate professionally with departments, coworkers, management, and customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team and assist teammates when needed.
• Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to twist and bend for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure and in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to wear task-appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, organized working environment.
• Operate machinery safely to ensure product quality.
• Inspect materials before and after processing for imperfections.
• Load and unload products from machinery for processing.
• Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy.
• Report product discrepancies to management.
• Communicate actively with teammates.
• Operate forklifts to relocate materials.
• Perform other operations tasks as assigned.
