About The Position
The Saw Operator plays a critical role in manufacturing by accurately and efficiently operating saw machinery to cut raw materials to specified dimensions. The position ensures cuts meet quality standards and production schedules, supporting the efficiency and output of the manufacturing line. The operator sets up, adjusts, and maintains saw equipment to optimize performance and safety. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols help prevent material waste and workplace accidents. The role supports the production team by delivering precise components that meet design specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating saw machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
- Precision measurement and blueprint-reading skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and equipment-operation skills.
- Attention to detail, safety awareness, communication, and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in machine operation or manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CNC saws, table saws, or automated cutting equipment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality-control standards.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor saw machinery to cut materials according to specified measurements and blueprints.
- Set up saw equipment, including selecting blades, aligning equipment, and calibrating it to ensure accurate cuts.
- Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment to maintain functionality and safety.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team.
