About The Position

Top Score Education is seeking part-time and full-time SAT/ACT tutors to provide private, in-home tutoring for students across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Tutors deliver two-hour sessions, create customized lesson plans, and communicate consistently with students and parents while working with the Top Score team to monitor progress and refine strategies. The company provides 50–60 hours of paid onboarding training, proprietary resources, and ongoing training. Tutors may have opportunities to expand their subject portfolio and take on leadership roles. Remote opportunities are available for tutors who relocate. Sessions are scheduled on weekday evenings and weekends. Tutors must commit to at least eight teaching hours per week and be willing to travel up to 30 minutes for in-home sessions. A background check is required before a tutor’s first session. A commitment of two or more years is preferred.

Requirements

At least two years of SAT/ACT tutoring experience.
A 95th-percentile-or-higher SAT/ACT score.
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for student success.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills; ability to be a reliable team player.
Availability on weekday evenings (4–10 PM) and weekends, with a minimum commitment of eight teaching hours per week.
Reliable access to a car and willingness to travel up to 30 minutes for in-home sessions.
Pass a background check before the first tutoring session.

Responsibilities
