About The Position
The SAP Senior Project Manager is an expert-level leader in complex program delivery and customer engagement. The role leads customer programs end-to-end, from initial scoping through plan execution and handover, and drives implementation across multiple workstreams. It requires strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, customer focus, and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs. The Senior Project Manager builds trusted relationships with senior customer and internal stakeholders, guides project managers, handles escalations, and promotes delivery best practices. The role also involves using agentic AI tools in daily work, quality-checking AI-generated outputs, developing effective prompts, and championing AI adoption across engagements. The position is part of SAP’s global customer-facing delivery community, working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams in a culture emphasizing trust, accountability, customer success, and continuous improvement. SAP describes flexible working models, modern tools, communities of practice, and growth paths. A degree is not required.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in project management, scope management, and project coordination across complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Skilled at managing escalations and resolving conflict while keeping delivery on track.
- Customer-first approach and ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and drive long-term satisfaction.
- Experience mentoring project managers and influencing delivery best practices across teams.
- Hands-on use of agentic AI tools in daily workflow, including quality-checking AI-generated outputs and engineering effective prompts.
- PMP and Activate certifications.
- Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, creative thinking, and learning agility.
- A degree is not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex customer programs end-to-end, from initial scoping through full plan execution and handover.
- Define project scope, schedules, and milestones, and hold teams accountable to them.
- Drive project implementation across multiple workstreams while managing risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Apply time-boxed engagement orchestration to structure delivery phases and maintain momentum.
- Manage team performance and guide project managers through challenges.
- Maintain rigorous document management and reporting to keep stakeholders aligned.
- Build and sustain trusted partnerships with key customer and internal stakeholders.
- Manage escalations and resolve conflict while keeping delivery on track.
- Mentor project managers and influence delivery best practices across teams.
- Use agentic AI tools in daily workflow, quality-check AI-generated outputs, engineer effective prompts, and champion AI adoption across engagements.
