About The Position

SmartStyle, operated by American Salon Group LLC., is seeking a licensed Salon Leader to lead a team, grow the business, and deliver strong guest experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role: the Salon Leader works behind the chair, provides salon services as needed, and balances service delivery with management and operational responsibilities. The role includes leadership and technical training, with ongoing support.

Requirements

• Active, valid cosmetology license.
• Strong leadership and salon experience.
• Passion for beauty, artistry, and results.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds, and to work around fragrances and chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• Previous leadership experience is helpful but not always required.

Responsibilities

• Work behind the chair, demonstrating service skills and leadership.
• Motivate and coach the team to achieve goals.
• Provide client consultations and retail recommendations.
• Manage salon operations, including scheduling, inventory, and reporting.
• Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Support the salon’s success through effective operations and guest experiences.
• Provide haircuts and other salon services depending on salon needs.
