Salesforce Platform Owner

Farmer's Fridge Careers•Chicago, IL
•$90,000 - $100,000

About The Position

Farmer’s Fridge is hiring a full-time, in-house Salesforce Platform Owner to own the Salesforce platform used by Sales, Channel, Finance, Account Management, and Marketing for selling, servicing, and billing. Reporting to the VP of Revenue Operations, this high-ownership individual contributor will translate business needs into well-designed workflows, improve data accuracy and controls, and establish the intake process and documentation needed to make Salesforce a trusted system across teams. During the first 90 days, the Platform Owner will audit data quality, permissions, and technical debt; fix the largest gaps; and launch a single intake queue for Salesforce requests. The role also owns platform administration, user setup and training, releases and testing, documentation, and coordination on integrations and seasonal Salesforce releases.

Requirements

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience.
  • Experience tying business needs to Salesforce workflows and data architecture.
  • Experience as the sole or lead Salesforce administrator, with the ability to describe a system cleaned up or rebuilt and its before-and-after results.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
  • Experience as a lead administrator or CRM owner.

Responsibilities

  • Map end-to-end processes and user flows across teams to design Salesforce workflows that solve business problems and eliminate manual workarounds.
  • Partner with teams to ensure clean, consistent data capture using well-defined, non-overlapping fields.
  • Enforce required fields, status and date integrity, and contact-record health across Accounts, Opportunities, and fridge records.
  • Build validation rules and permission sets to prevent bad data at entry, and conduct quarterly reviews of user access and permissions.
  • Maintain the fridge lifecycle data model, including install, removal, conversion, and Loss Leader statuses and dates.
  • Build and maintain flows, page layouts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Build lead-to-opportunity attribution that does not depend on reps converting leads.
  • Partner with Accounting on the Salesforce and Sage Intacct integration so invoice and payment status is available on the account.
  • Review each Salesforce seasonal release and recommend which features to enable.
  • Run a single intake queue for Salesforce requests, with clear priorities and turnaround times.
  • Own user setup, training, and release notes; manage sandboxes, testing, and releases to ensure changes are tested before going live.
  • Document every object, field, flow, and integration so knowledge stays in-house, including taking over and documenting existing consultant-built work.
  • In the first 90 days, audit data quality, permissions, and technical debt; fix the top data quality gaps; and launch the single intake queue.

Benefits

  • Company performance-based bonuses and equity.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with multiple plans available.
  • 401(k) with immediate employer match vesting.
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
  • Paid sabbatical after 5 years of service.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Daily Farmer’s Fridge meals and office snacks.
  • Opportunities for cross-functional collaboration, learning, and access to leadership.
