NobleReach Foundation•Tysons, VA
•$95,000 - $120,000

About The Position

NobleReach Foundation is a civic leadership platform focused on connecting technology, science, and business leaders with opportunities to serve across government, industry, and academia. The Salesforce Platform Engineer helps build Salesforce into the organization’s trusted data intelligence layer, connecting program, relationship, event, and engagement data for people and AI agents. Reporting to the SVP, Technology Operations & AI Enablement, the role initially contributes to a migration from Salesforce Government Cloud and then develops into an internal resource for platform configuration, integrations, user adoption, and AI capabilities, including Agentforce. Over time, the work is expected to shift from primarily platform administration toward a more balanced mix of platform and AI engineering. The role collaborates with Salesforce, an implementation partner, internal program teams, the Applied AI team, IT Security, and the internal AI Council. It supports the organization’s mission by ensuring that Salesforce capabilities are tied to how program teams serve Scholars, partners, and participants. This position is bonus eligible, and the salary is commensurate with experience.

  • Familiarity with release management, sandboxes, data quality, and integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Agentforce, generative AI, or AI agents, including an example of automating a process or improving a decision.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong desire to have an impact on society.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situations.
  • Curiosity and desire to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer I or Agentforce Specialist.
  • Experience contributing to a Salesforce organization migration or re-platforming.
  • Working knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and APIs, with good judgment about when code is appropriate.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud.
  • Experience with Data Cloud or another customer data platform.
  • Active involvement in the Salesforce community, such as Trailblazer or user groups.
  • Experience in a nonprofit, regulated, or government-adjacent environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to migration from Salesforce Government Cloud to a nonprofit or commercial environment, including data mapping, testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of migrated data, automation, and permissions.
  • Learn from and progressively take over configuration, implementation, and training work currently handled by the implementation partner.
  • Administer and configure Salesforce objects, permissions, Flows, reports, and dashboards using a declarative-first approach, with Apex, Lightning Web Components, or APIs when needed.
  • Help unify program, relationship, event, and engagement data, including through Data Cloud, and maintain data quality through deduplication, validation, and documentation of data flows.
  • Build, test, and support Agentforce agents and AI-assisted workflows, and help move successful prototypes into production.
  • Build and support integrations with Microsoft 365, Slack, marketing and event platforms, approved AI tools, and AppExchange solutions.
  • Partner with the Applied AI team, IT Security, and the internal AI Council on AI use cases, data access, security, and governance.
  • Deliver end-user training, documentation, and office hours to drive Salesforce adoption and help colleagues learn the platform.
  • Maintain the enhancement backlog, follow change control and release processes, monitor platform health and Salesforce release impacts, and recommend improvements.
  • Keep platform decisions tied to how program teams serve Scholars, partners, and participants, so Salesforce supports NobleReach’s mission and not just its processes.
