About The Position
The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, training and on-going support of the Salesforce platform. This position will work closely with the Director, Customer Information Systems and internal stakeholders to implement system enhancements and help to ensure that data quality is maintained. They will serve as support for complex issues reported by staff. In addition, they will also help support third-party systems used by AdvaMed.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience administering and supporting the Salesforce platform
- Experience collaborating with staff, stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions
- Experience supporting integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems such as Map Your Show, Maritz Global Events, Cvent, HubSpot, or similar platforms
- Experience with reporting, analytics, and data-query tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, or comparable technologies
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical system solutions
- Experience providing user support, training, testing, documentation, and customer service
- Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and system administration best practices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Effective verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- B.S., in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant database experience, preferably in a trade association or professional society
- 4+ years of experience with administering the Salesforce platform
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary administrator of the Salesforce platform, including user management, custom objects, fields, validation rules, flows, page layouts, and related configurations
- Implements approved Salesforce enhancements, updates, and system improvements
- Analyzes, develops, and maintains reports, dashboards, and data solutions using Salesforce and other organizational data sources
- Performs ongoing monitoring of data quality, integrity, and consistency within Salesforce and related systems
- Supports integrations, applications, websites, Experience Cloud sites, and business processes that interact with Salesforce and related platforms
- Coordinates requirements, documents integration needs, and participates in the design, implementation, testing, and support of data integrations
- Researches and evaluates Salesforce releases and recommends functionality improvements aligned with organizational needs
- Researches and identifies opportunities to improve business processes, system utilization, data quality, and user adoption; implements approved enhancements and governance practices
- Develops and maintains system documentation, standard operating procedures, and user training materials
- Provides advanced Salesforce support, troubleshooting, guidance, and training to staff and power users
- Coordinates and collaborates with internal stakeholders, departments, and external vendors to support business requirements and system effectiveness
- Performs other duties as assigned
