About The Position

We are seeking a driven and organized Sales Trainer to lead the onboarding, development, and ongoing performance improvement of our sales team. This role is critical in ensuring new hires are set up for success through structured onboarding, consistent training, and clear performance tracking. The Sales Trainer will also serve as a key liaison to leadership by providing weekly updates and maintaining visibility into trainee progress, while continuing to develop team members well beyond initial training.

Requirements

  • Strong coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective sales training programs.
  • Experience tracking and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate team members.
  • 3 years of experience in sales training, coaching, or sales leadership roles.
  • Experience designing and implementing onboarding and training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full onboarding process for new sales hires, including orientation to sales processes, systems, and expectations.
  • Design and deliver structured training programs for both new and existing sales team members.
  • Facilitate interactive training sessions, including role-playing, listening to active sales calls, and hands-on coaching.
  • Develop training materials such as presentations, guides, and exercises to support learning.
  • Create individualized coaching plans to help new hires reach performance benchmarks and quotas.
  • Observe sales interactions and provide actionable feedback to improve effectiveness.
  • Track key performance metrics to evaluate trainee progress and training effectiveness.
  • Maintain clear, consistent progress updates for all new hires, ensuring they understand expectations, milestones, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide structured weekly updates to management on onboarding progress, training outcomes, and team performance.
  • Maintain accurate training records, progress reports, and performance documentation.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development for sales representatives after initial onboarding is complete.
  • Identify skill gaps in tenured team members and implement targeted training to improve performance.
  • Conduct regular follow-up training sessions, workshops, and refreshers to reinforce best practices.
  • Support career growth by developing advanced training programs for top performers and future leaders.
  • Ensure continuous alignment between training initiatives and evolving company goals and sales strategies.
  • Assess training needs through performance data, feedback, and skills gap analysis.
  • Continuously refine training programs to align with company goals and financial objectives.
