About The Position

Meier Agency is seeking a Sales Trainer for an in-field leadership role. The position begins with building and managing a personal book of business by cold-calling small and medium-sized businesses and engaging employees and decision-makers. The successful candidate will advance to leadership while continuing to work in the field, make sales calls, and train new hires. The role focuses on improving the sales force’s skills and performance through training, coaching, and support. The Sales Trainer develops and delivers practical programs tailored to teams and individuals, covering sales techniques, product knowledge, objection handling, and customer relationship management. The role works with Sales Managers to identify training needs, evaluates program effectiveness using feedback and performance measures, and adjusts programs to support continuous improvement. Candidates must already hold or be willing and able to obtain a Health & Life producer license; licensing reimbursement for state fees is offered. Meier Agency describes itself as an independent insurance agency seeking entrepreneurial, service-minded team players. Compensation includes a competitive weekly draw with commission and bonuses from the start. The company also offers quarterly and annual incentives, which may include trips, cash bonuses, and stock options, along with corporate and industry-specific training, individual support from a Sales Manager, and a path to leadership. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed. Work is conducted in person in a business-to-business setting.
