About The Position
As a Nordstrom Rack team member, work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. Help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness in the salesfloor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. This role may include salesfloor merchandising, cashiering, fitting-room assistance, returning merchandise to the salesfloor, and organizing and processing stockroom merchandise.

- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift; frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use; handling bulky or awkward items and lifting some above the head; regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Work with the team to keep the salesfloor runway ready, sized, and filled by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
- Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; operate the point-of-sale system, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy items while providing friendly service.
- Support fitting-room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
- Sort and return clothing to the salesfloor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
- Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
- Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
- Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- Work in different store areas as needed to help maintain cleanliness and assist customers.
