About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal and regular team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments at the Towson Rack. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and help keep the store clean and organized. Employees may work in different areas of the store as needed. Sales and Customer Service responsibilities include keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operating point-of-sale systems, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the salesfloor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment responsibilities include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and relocating fixtures.

Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor sized, filled, and runway ready through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag merchandise and handle bulky items.
Support fitting room customers and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep the customer environment clean and clutter-free.
Keep stockrooms organized, check in merchandise, and ensure items are accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
