About The Position
Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring a part-time Sales & Service team member at its Old National location. The role supports Goodwill’s mission of helping local job seekers find meaningful work through its stores, donation centers, and career centers. The team member helps create a welcoming guest experience, moves products to the sales floor, maintains visual merchandising, recommends merchandise, and processes transactions. The position also involves teamwork, following training and work instructions, keeping the work area clean and organized, observing safety and security practices, and attending required training and meetings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to foster a healthy team culture focused on an exceptional guest experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective time-management and multitasking skills.
- Must start employment wearing acceptable safety work shoes.
- Ability to work in heat, cold, and dust.
- Ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand, or walk for extended periods and push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
- Availability to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests, support a guest-friendly culture, deliver the brand experience, and suggest additional merchandise.
- Maintain a professional, patient, people-first attitude with guests.
- Transition products to the retail sales floor with attention to detail and urgency.
- Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
- Recommend or upsell merchandise and encourage transaction round-ups.
- Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions.
- Identify and resolve problems promptly or seek management support.
- Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
- Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
- Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
- Keep the work area and retail sales floor neat, clean, and organized.
- Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
- Attend and complete required trainings and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
