About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring a part-time Sales & Service team member at its Tyrone location. The organization uses donations and sales from more than 100 locations to help local job seekers find meaningful work. In this role, you will support a guest-friendly retail experience, move products to the sales floor, maintain merchandising standards, and handle sales transactions. You will also work collaboratively, follow training and safety procedures, and keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time-management and multitasking skills.
• Must start employment wearing acceptable safety work shoes.
• Ability to work in conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including bending, reaching, grasping, standing and/or walking for extended periods, and pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Availability to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest and contribute to a guest-friendly culture by delivering the brand experience and suggesting additional merchandise.
• Display a professional, patient, people-first attitude with guests.
• Move products to the retail sales floor with attention to detail and urgency.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
• Recommend and upsell merchandise and encourage guests to round up during transactions.
• Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions.
• Identify and quickly resolve problems or seek management support.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
• Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Perform work tasks according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area and retail sales floor.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required training and meetings.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
