About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring a part-time Sales & Service team member at its Tyrone location. The role supports the organization’s mission of helping local job seekers find meaningful work through donations and retail sales. The employee contributes to a guest-friendly shopping experience, processes transactions, supports merchandising and product movement, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized retail environment.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time-management skills and ability to multitask.
• Must start employment wearing acceptable safety work shoes.
• Must be able to work in heat, cold, and dust.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods, and push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Must be available to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest, deliver a positive brand experience, and suggest additional merchandise.
• Maintain a professional, patient, and people-first attitude with guests.
• Move products to the retail salesfloor accurately and promptly.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
• Recommend or upsell merchandise and encourage customers to round up during transactions.
• Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions.
• Identify and promptly resolve problems or seek management support.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
• Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Perform tasks according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Keep the work area and retail salesfloor neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required training and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
