About The Position

Join Goodwill of North Georgia and help support its mission of helping local job seekers find meaningful work. The Sales & Service team supports a guest-friendly retail environment by assisting guests, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining visual merchandising, and completing sales transactions. Team members work collaboratively, follow training and safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized store.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management and ability to multitask.
• Must start employment wearing acceptable safety work shoes.
• Ability to work in heat, cold, and dust.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including bending, reaching, grasping, standing or walking for extended periods, and pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Availability to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest, deliver the brand experience, and suggest additional merchandise.
• Maintain a professional, patient, people-first attitude with guests.
• Transition products to the retail sales floor with attention to detail and urgency.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
• Recommend and upsell merchandise and encourage round-up donations during transactions.
• Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions.
• Identify and quickly solve problems or seek management support.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
• Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area and retail sales floor.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
