About The Position

Hills Machinery is hiring an Equipment Rental Sales Representative to build and grow a sales territory in Greenville, South Carolina. The role focuses on developing customer relationships and providing equipment rental solutions to contractors and businesses, supported by Hills Machinery’s rental fleet and service teams. This is a field-based position with regular jobsite visits in outdoor conditions and a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience in equipment rental, construction, or heavy equipment sales.
• Proven ability to build relationships and drive revenue.
• Self-starter with strong time management and follow-through.
• Knowledge of equipment applications and jobsite needs.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a book of business within an assigned territory.
• Develop long-term relationships with contractors, project managers, and business owners.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate rental equipment and solutions.
• Drive rental revenue through proactive outreach, jobsite visits, and account development.
• Partner with inside teams, service, and parts to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Promote add-on equipment and attachments to maximize jobsite productivity.
• Stay informed about local market trends, competitor activity, and pricing.
