About The Position

Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is a rapidly expanding organization representing a premium commercial brand in medium to heavy truck dealerships. We offer a full-service experience, including sales, technicians, and parts. Our mission is to be a one-stop shop for truckers, owner operators, fleets, and companies, complemented by our Leasing and Rental business and financial services division. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our Remarketing team. This role involves prospecting, generating sales, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of used trucks, pricing, and inventory management. Key responsibilities include identifying leads, managing prospects, acquiring new business to meet sales goals, conducting prospecting activities to secure appointments, preparing proposals and presentations, and drafting sales agreements. The role also includes checking customer credit, introducing them to the financing department, staying updated on market trends, generating credit approval documents, and ensuring trucks are ready for purchase.

Requirements

  • Must present and communicate in a professional manner

  • Must be organized with good time management skills
  • Possesses proven analytical/problem solving skills for the customer and company
  • Computer proficiency
  • Previous sales experience in the trucking industry
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies
  • Possesses strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of used trucks and pricing
  • Reviews inventory on a daily basis
  • Identifies leads, manages prospects and acquires new business
  • Meets or exceeds new business sales goals
  • Completes prospecting activities to secure first and follow up appointment with decision makers
  • Prepares and delivers proposals/presentations to customers and key decision makers
  • Prepares and drafts sales agreements and other paperwork needed to complete the sale in a timely manner
  • Checks credit of potential customers
  • Introduces customers and prospective customers to VVG financing department
  • Develops and maintains an awareness of the market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly
  • Provides and generates all documents related to credit approval
  • Ensures trucks are ready, repaired, clean and presentable for purchasing customer
