About The Position

Altitude is hiring a Sales Representative to sell supplemental insurance products and services to small and medium-sized businesses and their employees. This is an outside sales position focused on an assigned territory. The representative meets face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers, works individually with business owners, benefits managers, and employees, and gives presentations to employee groups that may include 50–100 or more people. The role combines lead generation, appointments, client service, and relationship development. Representatives follow up on provided leads, cold-call businesses in person, work with referrals and existing clients, build and maintain their own book of business, and report sales activity and metrics. Most work takes place in the assigned territory, with optional regularly scheduled travel weeks to sell in other territories alongside the sales team. Representatives set their own working hours and submit their schedules to their sales manager each week. Altitude provides online classroom and hands-on territory training with an assigned trainer, covering the business sales cycle and sales techniques. The company also offers ongoing professional development, advanced sales training, leadership training, and performance-based advancement. The role offers weekly draw pay, with eligibility for bonuses and commission upon starting, as well as incentive trips and bonuses. A Health & Life producer license is required or must be obtained; licensing reimbursement is offered.
